4.1 Changing Your Personally Identifiable Information
In the event that a User requests OIL to remove its Personally Identifiable Information from our records, they may contact OIL placing said request for erasure by way of email on the email address mentioned in Clause 8 of this Policy. OIL upon receiving such request for erasure of information, shall ascertain if the information sought to be erased is required to be retained for the purposes enumerated in Clause 4 of this Policy. Once ascertained whether the said Personally Identifiable Information is required to be retained or not, OIL shall proceed to erase the Personally Identifiable Information of the concerned User. In the event that the said Personally Identifiable Information is required to be retained, OIL shall retain it for the strict purpose and duration as required and upon determination of the duration and purpose, OIL shall proceed to erase the same. Accordingly, an intimation to that effect shall be provided to the respective User by email.
